For a wider and more accessible passage, the FERN360 FGES-SWGP900-1 uses an 8mm tempered glass barrier and provides a 900mm passage width. Its listed specifications include a brushless servo motor, 0.2-second operating speed, 35-40 people per minute throughput, RS485 and dry contact interfaces, and a net weight of 40kg including the gate.

There is no universal winner between these formats. A tripod turnstile may be the most practical choice for a compact staff entrance, while a full-height rotor turnstile may better suit a secure perimeter.
